Introducing our Newest Member!
Hi everyone! This week, we will not be posting an article but instead, we have great news to share with you all! Recently, we have decided to recruit our best friend, Michelle Ng, to join Science on Sundaes. She will be writing articles on this blog as well, and they will be mainly Physics-related (which is much needed as the majority of our articles are mostly Biology or Chemistry-related)! Next week, Michelle will be posting her first article here and we hope that you guys are just excited as we are.
Here is a little intro or a 'get to know me' from Michelle!
Michelle Ng - Member of Science on Sundaes
Hi! I’m Michelle and I joined Science on Sundaes because I love Physics and writing! It makes me sad that Physics has such a bad reputation for being too ‘boring’ or ‘difficult’ because this is A BIG LIE—many areas of Physics are actually both interesting and accessible. I want to show that it doesn’t have to be the stereotypical maths, equations and crying. Science on Sundaes has been focused on Biology and Chemistry so far and I’d love to add some Physics content, whether it be about everyday scenarios, or more crazy topics like time slowing down and black holes.
Fun facts about me:
- I like editing videos & creating effects + motion graphics. I made some motion graphics to teach science to underprivileged children for a charity with Jasmine <3
- I am from Hong Kong but am now studying in London for my final year of school before uni
-My friends used to joke about how I’ll work at NASA when I grow up—although I don’t want to work there anymore, I want to do physics research in the future (hopefully I won’t give into the desire for money lol)
- I am a stationery hoarder & I love lettering / calligraphy
- I love Japanese BBQ & hotpot (especially all you can eat)
Before we end off, we would like to thank everyone who has been supporting both our blog and our Instagram page! It's amazing to see the growth of Science on Sundaes and we are very happy to be able to share our passion for the Sciences with you all!
If you have any suggestions on any scientific topic that you want us to look into, go to our tellonym (your suggestions will remain anonymous)! Here is the link: tellonym.me/scienceonsundaes
Thank you once again and stay tuned for our articles every Sunday!
